The Lagos State House of Assembly has announced the appointment of new chief officers.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda announced the new top officials during Friday's plenary session.
The appointment followed the dissolution of the remaining principal officers by the new president, the Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda.
Principal officials include the Hon. Temitope Adedeji representing as Majority Leader, Hon Richard Kasunmu as Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. David Sentonji as Chief Whip and Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon as Deputy Chief Whip.

Members of the selection committee were also appointed. The committee includes the Speaker of the House as Committee Chairman, Majority Deputy Speaker, Chief Whip, Hon Yishawu, Hon Aina Musbau, Acting Secretary as Committee Secretary.
Rt Hon Meranda assumed office as Speaker on Monday following the removal of former Speaker, Hon Mudashiru Obasa, by the House on Monday.
The House was suspended for Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
