About 300 people in and around Ifeolukotun have benefited from a free medical campaign organized by the Secretary to the Kogi State Government.
The initiative was carried out through the Secretary's non-governmental organisation, Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Widows and Orphans (FAIWO), to address the health needs of their immediate community during these difficult economic times.

The Coordinator of the Medical Programme, Comrade Samuel Obajemu, stated in an interview that the campaign saw great participation from Ifeolukotun and its environs. He highlighted that the Secretary to the Kogi State Government (SGS) is committed to sustaining treatment efforts to ensure the well-being of the people.
According to Comrade Obajemu, the deal reflects genuine love for the people of Ifeolukotun. He assured that the extension will soon be extended to other communities.
He commended the SGS for sponsoring the programme, describing it as a blessing to the government and people of Kogi State.
Comrade Obajemu noted that the ailments treated include typhoid, malaria, high blood pressure and diabetes among others, adding that children also receive medical care.
The Olukotun of Ife Olukotun, Oba Shuaibu Mohammed, described the disclosure as timely and a step in the right direction, and expressed gratitude to the SGS for its efforts.
