He praised him for being a pan-Deltanic and detribalized governor, saying that if all leaders shun political and religious leanings, Nigeria would be a better place for all citizens to fulfill the destiny assigned to them by God.

While wishing the couple success in their marriage, President Tinubu charged them to let Christ be the driver of their marriage and reminded the couples of the need to live up to their marriage oath.

In an interview at the ceremony, the groom's father and Governor of Delta State, Rt. Honorable Sheriff Oborevwori, expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu, his brother governors and all guests at the ceremony for honoring him and his family , and described him as a good man who does not consider party political issues in his dealings.

“Mr President sent the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, who is also one of ours, to represent him here and he spoke very well and the people of Delta are very happy.

“We are not surprised because he is our father-in-law, the wife is partly from here, so we are very happy,” Oborevwori said.

He advised the couple to stay together, saying; “There is no perfect marriage and they need to persevere because marriage is an institution from which one does not graduate.

He congratulated the new couple, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Oborevwori, for finding sincere love in each other and charged them to allow Christ to remain the center of their marriage.

The cleric said the deterioration of morality in society is due to breakdowns in marriage and advocated the need for couples to keep at bay anything that could jeopardize their union.
