NYSC DG praises Plateau 1987/88 determined to reunite

Director General of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), YD Ahmed, praised the Alumni Plateau State 1987/88 set in Reunion.

The Director General, represented by the Lagos State Coordinator, Christiana Salmwang, made this known at the event titled Together Again, held in Lagos on Saturday.

The Director General described the meeting as a testimony to the fact that friendship is beautiful and profitable, and described them as patriots who want a better nation.

“I congratulate myself with this Set. It is a fact that friendship is beautiful and beneficial if there is a common goal. You are patriots. You want a better nation.

“Despite great obstacles, you are back together. “All Nigerians want a better nation and consequently, we are yet to see our best.” Said.

In her speech, State Coordinator Ms. Salmwang urged them to continue to be a beacon of hope and remain united in their association.

He noted that the Service goes beyond serving the country to making lasting friendships.

Therefore, the Coordinator pleaded with parents to encourage their children to give their best during the service.

“Continue to be a beacon of hope in your respective association.

“Stay united in the pursuit of a better Nigeria. I wish you success in all your endeavors.

“Service goes beyond serving the country but rather making a lasting friendship.

“We encourage our children to do their best during service. We see some of them run away,” he said.

In his opening remarks, the Set President, Seyi Oyesiku, thanked the creator of NYSC, noting that he has created unity and love across the length and breadth of the nation.

He therefore urged members not to let the spirit of togetherness die.
