Arsenal’s football team decided not to argue about the red card that William Saliba got when they lost 2-0 to Bournemouth last Saturday.
Saliba got the red card in just 30 minutes during the match at Vitality Stadium.
He got into trouble because he stopped Evanilson, a Bournemouth player, from going straight to score a goal.
After Saliba left the game, Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert scored goals in the second half. This helped Bournemouth win.
Getting red cards is becoming a pattern for Arsenal. This season, Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard have also been sent off. Since Coach Arteta took over in December 2019, Arsenal has received 18 red cards!
A newspaper called The Times said Arsenal decided not to fight the red card decision. This means Saliba won’t be able to play in the next big game against Liverpool at Emirates Stadium this Sunday.
