A government leader in Jigawa State, named Auwal Danladi Sankara, is saying a big “no” to a story told by a group in Kano. This group said Auwal was caught doing something bad with a married lady in a place still being built.
Many people heard about this story and it spread quickly on the internet like wildfire. But Auwal wants to set the record straight.
He said, “Hey everyone, you might have heard a tale that people are saying about me, Auwal D. Sankara, where they claim I got caught by the Hisbah Command in Kano for being with a married woman.
“But this story is totally not true. It’s all made up just to make me look bad.
“Please, friends and everyone out there, don’t believe this story. Some people are just making it up to mess with my name and good standing.
“I’m a married man myself and I really respect marriage. It’s important to me, and I would never do something that would hurt that important promise.
“I am here to support the good things that I believe in.
“This news is serious to me, so I plan on going to court to set things right and stop these lies from spreading further.”
A reporter told us that another group, the Kano State Hisbah Command, actually said they caught Auwal in this partly built place. They say he was with someone else’s wife last night, in a way that made people suspicious.
