Police Confirm Murder and Beheading of Two Suspected Cultists in Akwa Ibom

Must Read

The Akwa Ibom State Police has told everyone about a sad event. Two people were found hurt and no longer alive. One was named Paul Eyo, thought to be in a group called Black Axe. The other was called Ekpe, believed to be in a group named Vikings. Both of them came from a place called Eyo-Abasi in Mbo area.

Joseph Eribo, the head police officer, shared this news at a meeting with reporters. Young leaders told him about what happened, and the police quickly tried to find out more. They have caught three people who might know about what happened.

From these suspects, the police found things like two caps with Vikings signs, a small TV, a shovel, and some other things like a chair, table, and motorcycles.

The chief policeman shared some more details: “On October 16, 2024, early in the morning, we were told about a person hurt badly. The leader of the young people said it was Paul Eyo, who got hurt on his head and died. Ekpe, another person, was also hurt very badly.”

Later that day, with good information, the police went to Abiak Owo Ebughu in Mbo area and found three people: Mfon Etim Uzoma, Robert Effiong Etim, and Malachi Williams Ubokulo. They were found hiding.

Joseph also talked about two people who were taking motorcycles from others. Their names are Tony Ntuen and Iniobong Johnny. They would pretend to be passengers, ask to stop for a little break, and then take the motorcycle with help from a friend hiding nearby.

But one time, they took a motorcycle that had a special device to track it. The owner, Emmanuel Edem Okon, quickly found his bike, and the police caught the bad guys.

Another group was also in trouble for stealing cars and selling them for pieces. The police learned about this when a man’s bus was taken. They found the bus cut up into pieces but caught the person responsible named Ike Chimezie. Ike showed them the person who originally stole it, Matthew Chimezie.

Joseph Eribo promised that they will take these folks to court after finishing some more checking. He asked everyone in the community to let the police know if they see bad things happening. He is determined to keep the area safe and secure.
