The boss of the NDLEA in the state, Mr. Peter Ogar, shared the details while chatting in Abakaliki. He said they found these drugs in different places all across Ebonyi.

Mr. Ogar also mentioned, “During this time, we helped 82 people by talking to them. Out of these, 64 were men, and 18 were women.”

He continued, “We caught 149 people in total, including 112 guys and 37 ladies, who were aged between 26 and 72. These people were not just sellers but also users and movers of drugs.”

He listed the bad stuff they found, like a tiny bit of crack cocaine, a lot of Cannabis (55.492kg), and also other things like codeine syrup, Tramadol, and different tablets all adding up to a whopping 115.226 kilograms!

He added that they even managed to get one bad guy punished by the law, which shows how determined they are to fight against bad drugs not just in Ebonyi but all over Nigeria.

Mr. Ogar was happy to say, “We also went around talking to people, including youngsters and community leaders, to teach them about why drugs are bad and why we need to stop them.”

They even went to schools to make sure the kids learn early. Mr. Ogar was thankful for the good teamwork with other security folks, which helps them do this important job better.
