Police Neutralize Three Kidnappers and Arrest Suspected Member of Notorious Bandit Group in Niger

The police officers in Niger State did something very brave. They saved a person who was taken by bad people and stopped three of those bad people in a forest called Kpakiko in Mokwa.

They also caught a young man named Samaila Saidu who they think was with a group of bad guys called the Kachalla armed bandits in a place called Izom, Gurara.

The person who tells the news for the police, named SP Wasiu Abiodun, shared this story from Minna.

He said that early in the morning on October 9, 2024, someone told the police that a person had been taken away by bad guys from a village called Takuma in Mokwa. Another person there got hurt and needed to go to the hospital.

When the police heard this, they quickly got together with some helpers from the village and went to find the bad guys in the Kpakiko forest.

The police and the bad guys started fighting. During this fight, three of the bad guys were stopped, and the police found a big gun with bullets. They also saved the person who was taken away.

The police are now looking into why this happened and are trying hard to find the other bad guys who ran away.

Talking about the young man, Samaila Saidu, the police news person said they caught him at the market in Izom on September 28, 2024. They found him because they had some secret information.

Samaila told the police that he used to live in a place called Dansadau in Zamfara State but now stays in a place called Gwacipe in Gurara, Niger State. He admitted that he worked with the Kachalla group for over two years, doing things like stealing and taking people or animals away.

The police also found out that Samaila had been part of many attacks in places like Mangoro Sarkin-Pawa, Garun-Gabas, Bena Kotonkoro, and Kagara town, among other places in Niger State.
