Imo: Police Save Teenage Girl from Suspected Organ Traffickers, Arrest One

Must Read

The police in Imo State stopped bad people who were trying to take someone. They caught a man, 38 years old, after he took a girl who was 19. This happened in a place called Owerri.

When talking to people about what happened, Henry Okoye, who works with the police, said that on October 10, 2024, the police found out about a group of people trying to kidnap and sell body parts in a busy area of the city.

They arrested a man named Justine Emmanuel from a place called Amaimo because he was with the group that tried to take the girl. The girl was saved, but we don’t know her name because they want to keep her safe.

The police saw a bus with blue and white colors where the bad people were trying to force the girl to go with them. They wanted to harm her and take her body parts. Lucky for her, during the police chase, she was brave and jumped out of the bus. The police saved her right away.

After the girl was safe, the police chased the group. The bad people ran away into a forest, leaving the bus behind. Only one man was caught, and the police are looking for more of the bad people who ran away.

The police are now working hard to find out who else is in the group and what other bad things they might have done.

Police Officer Okoye said saving the girl shows how hard the police are working to stop crime and keep everyone safe. He asked everyone to watch out for strange things happening and tell the police if they see something odd. As they keep looking into this, he said they will share more news soon.
