Dr. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi once tried to become the governor of Zamfara. Now he works with Mr. Bello Matawalle, who used to be the governor there. Recently, some people said Mr. Matawalle left Zamfara to help fight bad guys in Sokoto. The group that said this is called the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP.
Dr. Shinkafi, who speaks for a group called Patriots for Peace and Social Development, explained what is really happening. He said that many bad people causing trouble in the states of Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, and Kaduna have been stopped. This happened because the military worked together in the area to make it safe.
He believes that anyone who gets in the way of this military work is trying to do something bad. These people might want to use the problem to take money meant for safety. Dr. Shinkafi asks them to stop because they will have to explain their actions one day when they are no longer in power.
The claim about Mr. Matawalle leaving Zamfara is not nice, Dr. Shinkafi says. It is not fair to criticize him when he is working hard to keep everyone safe and help the country become better.
Dr. Shinkafi shared a story to help explain things. Mr. Matawalle went to places like Sabon Birnin and other areas in Sokoto that are near Zamfara. These places have trouble because there are many bad guys who sneak weapons through the borders there.
According to a report by DAILY POST, President Bola Tinubu gave orders to Mr. Matawalle and top military leaders to go to Sokoto. This command happened at a military place called the 8th Division. This place is responsible for the states of Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, and Katsina.
The plan was for Mr. Matawalle to go to Sokoto with top military leaders to fight the bad guys. The work includes Zamfara too, where a known troublemaker named Jamilu Sububu was stopped. Sadly, it is the PDP, the same group causing problems for Mr. Matawalle while he is trying to make Zamfara and Nigeria safe, that is saying he should be in Zamfara and not Sokoto.
