Police Confirm Death of Man in Ogun Hotel

Must Read

The police in Ogun State have shared some news about a man named Lanre Ogungbe, who was 32 years old. Sadly, Lanre was found dead in a hotel room in a place called Soyoye, in a city named Abeokuta.

Omolola Odutola, who talks to the public for the police, shared this news on a Friday in Abeokuta. She said that this sad event happened at 2 in the afternoon on Thursday.

Omolola explained that two bottles were found next to Lanre. One had a drink called “Lakoko,” which has alcohol, and the other had something called “sniper,” a kind of harmful chemical.

The person who owns the hotel where Lanre was staying told the police about what happened. This was around 3 in the afternoon, just an hour after the incident, at a police station called Lafenwa.

The hotel owner said that Lanre came to the hotel to rest a bit. When the hotel manager noticed that Lanre hadn’t come out of his room for a while, they decided to check on him.

When they opened the door, they saw that Lanre was not moving on the bed. This shocked the hotel worker who found him, so she quickly told her boss, the manager.

The manager then told the hotel owner. They made sure not to touch anything in the room, to keep it just like they found it, and then quickly called the police to tell them everything.

When the police came to the hotel, they found Lanre just like the hotel people had said, with the bottles right next to him.

The police checked everything carefully to make sure nothing bad happened to him. They did not find any marks of hurt on his body at all.

Lanre’s body was taken to a hospital in Ijaiye to double-check what happened, and sadly, they confirmed that he had passed away. His body was then taken to a special place called a morgue, where doctors will look into exactly why he died.

The police want to know exactly what happened, so they are still working hard to find out more about this tragic event.
