The police in Sokoto State have caught 22 people who did bad things like stealing and breaking stuff. These people were also caught with things that were taken from others.
Musa, a big boss in the Sokoto police, told some people who write news stories about this on Thursday.
He said the police want to keep everyone and everything safe in Sokoto State. That’s why they caught these people.
Two of these people were caught because a worker from SAMAG Engineering Company said some special wires were taken. This happened in Goronyo on a Friday.
Another person, a driver, was stopped by police officers from Achida on Saturday. They were checking cars to make sure everything was okay.
The special wires, called aluminum conductor wires, were being used for a project to help bring electricity to Sokoto East. But they were damaged and taken away.
Thankfully, the police found these wires and the people who took them admitted they worked with two more people who are still hiding.
When the driver was caught, he had bags with those stolen wires, a tool to cut metal, and some ropes.
He told the police that he worked with three others who liked to cut and take electric wires from Achida Road. Now, he will have to go to court because of this.
