Jennifer Lopez, a famous singer and actress from America, talked about her difficult breakup with Ben Affleck, who she married two times.
Jennifer, who is now 55 years old, decided to end her marriage after just two years. They tried to make things work again after their first breakup in 2004.
They stopped living together in April, and on August 20, which was also their wedding anniversary, Jennifer asked for a divorce.
In an interview with a magazine, Jennifer shared that this divorce really made her feel bad, but she still has no regrets about marrying Ben.
She said she doesn’t regret it: “Not even for one moment. It did make me feel really terrible, almost like I couldn’t go on.
“But now, after it all, I think, ‘Wow, maybe that was just what I needed. Thank you, God. I’m sorry it took me so long to understand. I’m sorry you had to show me this lesson so many times.
“I should have learned my lesson earlier. I get it now. You had to really show me in a big way, almost like hitting me with a very big hammer. It was a huge lesson. But I understand now. No need to do it again.’”
