Delta Police Apprehend Suspected Kidnapper, Recover Ransom and Firearm

Must Read

The police in Delta State have caught a man they think is involved in stealing and kidnapping people.

This man, named Timothy Ochuko, who is 42 years old, was caught by special police officers working under ASP Julius Robinson on October 5, 2024.

The police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, said they found some important details. On October 7, 2024, around 4:35 pm, they checked Timothy’s bank account. They found that N500,000 was part of N1,100,000 he got from a N4,000,000 ransom. This ransom was from a person (we won’t say their name) who they kidnapped on September 25, 2024, in a place called Ughelli town. They made this person take money from their FCMB bank account before letting them go.

SP Edafe also explained that Timothy showed the police where his friend from the gang lived. When the police arrived, the other person ran away, but they left behind a Beretta pistol, which is a kind of gun.

The police are still looking into this case to get more answers and catch everyone involved.
