There was a big meeting in Benue State for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and some exciting changes happened. A former lawmaker, Chief Ezekiel Adaji, has been chosen to lead the party in the area. This happened because of a vote at the party’s state meeting in a place called Makurdi on Thursday.

Chief Adaji is now in charge of a group of 27 people who help run the party. These people were also picked during the meeting. The names of the winners were shared by a leader named Alh. Ibrahim Shaba, who was in charge of making sure the election was fair.

Besides Chief Adaji, other important people got new jobs too: Dan Nyikwagh is the State Secretary, Tim Nyor is the State Publicity Secretary, Ibya Terkimbil is the Youth Leader, and Mrs. Alice Albert is the Women Leader. There are more people, but these are some of the key names.

A person named Friday Ejembi was there to help these new leaders officially start their jobs. He gave them a special ceremony to welcome them.

After the ceremony, Chief Adaji said a big thank you to everyone who supported them. He shared some hopeful words, saying, “Our state needs good leaders, and we will work hard to help the party become strong again.”

He promised to start working right away and said he wants to bring back all the people who were upset with the party. He plans to make a group that will talk to these people and make peace.

Shaba also mentioned that out of a list of 2910 people who could vote, 2900 showed up to the meeting, which was quite impressive!
