Two police officers in Anambra State have sadly lost their lives because of some bad people.
This happened in a place called Nnewi, where there was a fight between the police and the bad people on a Thursday morning.
During this fight, the bad guys threw something like a homemade bomb at the police. It went off, and sadly, two police officers were killed.
The police have said that this really did happen, and they are trying to catch the bad people who did it.
The police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said they are working hard to find these attackers.
He mentioned that the police and other security teams started looking for the armed men who attacked the police officers in the early hours at a place called Uruagu in Nnewi North.
He explained that the bad guys started shooting a lot when they saw the police and then threw the bomb at the police car.
Sadly, two police officers died, and the police car was burned.
The police are asking for help from anyone who saw what happened. They want people to help them catch these bad people.
