The People’s Democratic Party, or PDP, has started its campaign for the big local government election happening on October 5 in Benue State.
On Wednesday, the man leading the party, Mr. AVM Napoleon Bali, couldn’t make it, so his friend, Mr. Osita Ogene, gave flags to the important people who want to be leaders. This took place in a place called Makurdi. Mr. Ogene told everyone to go out and win the election for the PDP.
A very important person, the old boss of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom, said that PDP is everywhere in the state and he feels very good about winning the election. He said if the PDP doesn’t win this time, and it doesn’t seem fair, they will ask the court to help.
Another important leader, Senator Abba Moro, told everyone in PDP to come out and vote on Saturday. He said this election is going to be fair because the people running the election promised it would be that way.
Some other people, Engr. Dondo Ahire, Mike Uba, and Alex Ogaba, talked about how everyone in PDP should work together. They said unity is super important so that PDP can win in the election. Each of them spoke for the different parts of the state, which are called senatorial districts.
