Suspected Herders Attack Benue Community, Resulting in the Deaths of Two Soldiers and Six Villagers

Must Read

Six people, including two soldiers, were killed when bad men attacked the Egwuma community in Agatu, Benue State. People think these bad men might be Fulani herdsmen.

Someone who saw what happened said that soldiers, who were supposed to protect the area, did not help when the attack started. After hurting the people in the community, the bad men even went after the soldiers’ camp.

The person who saw everything, but did not want to share their name, said the bad men took four motorcycles from the soldiers and hurt two of them very badly.

“Now, the whole place is empty. Everybody ran away, and only a few soldiers are left there,” said the eyewitness.

The person in charge of running the Agatu area told the state leaders about this attack. They are waiting for the leaders to help stop more attacks.

These bad men have attacked this community before and made a lot of people scared. They came back even though soldiers are now in the area to protect the people.

“This is a scary problem. We need more brave security people here to help us. We don’t understand why the bad men keep coming,” the eyewitness added.

We tried to talk to the military about what happened, but couldn’t get an answer.

When we asked the police, they sent a text message saying they did not know about the report.
