Imo Police Issue Alert on Arson Targeting Former Senator’s Residence and National Open University Buildings

Must Read

The Imo State Chief of Police, Aboki Danjuma, has asked everyone in the state to stop doing things that could cause problems.

He said this after some unknown people set fire to the house of Senator Frank Ibezim, who used to represent the Okigwe area. These people also burned down buildings of the National Open University in the Ezeoke Nsu area.

The police in Imo State, through their spokesperson, ASP Henry Okoye, called this event very sad and dangerous for the safety of the people.

“The police will take strong action along with other security teams to catch those responsible and bring them to justice,” the statement said.

Right after the attack, Chief Danjuma quickly sent special police units to find and catch the people who started the fire.

He also told the Deputy Police Chief to investigate the incident carefully so they can find out exactly what happened.

The Chief of Police said that anyone who took part in this attack will face serious consequences because the police want to make sure the law is followed and justice is done.

He also told people not to spread fake news or say things that could cause trouble in the state. He said that anyone who spreads false information will be punished.

Danjuma assured everyone that the police and other security teams are working hard to keep peace and safety, and he asked citizens to help the police to protect their communities.

Before this happened, Senator Ibezim had told people that a rumor about the government making a camp for displaced people from the north in the Nsu area was false.

The state government also said the rumor was not true. They said the government actually wants to make a center to teach skills to young people in the state.
