Over 1,300 of Ganduje’s Relatives Switch Allegiance from APC to NNPP in Kano

Must Read

A big change just happened in Kano State, Nigeria. Over 1,331 people left one political party for another. They moved from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).

Most of these people come from 11 areas in Dawakin Tofa, which is where the APC National Chairman, Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, is from. They promised to support the NNPP and not the APC anymore.

Some important people who left the APC include Malam Isyaku Dahiru Kwa, a former Vice Chairman of Dawakin-Tofa, Hon. Audu Magaji Tumfafi, a former state House of Assembly candidate, and Bashir Musa Sani, who was a youth leader in the APC.

The NNPP held a big event to welcome these new members. The State Chairman of NNPP, Alhaji Hashimu Sulaiman Dungurawa, was very happy to see them join. He thanked them for their smart decision to leave the APC.

Isyaku Dahiru Kwa, one of the new NNPP members, said they left because Ganduje didn’t improve their hometown, Dawakin-Tofa, during his eight years as a leader. He also said Ganduje wasn’t good at managing the party at the national level.

Alhaji Dungurawa replied, saying that NNPP, under the guidance of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is serious about making life better in Kano. He promised the new members that they would get fair treatment in the party.

There were rumors that NNPP members were leaving for the APC. But Dungurawa said this was not true. He mentioned that some people claimed an APC leader in Abuja was getting NNPP members to join APC. But, according to Dungurawa, this didn’t happen.

Dungurawa advised the APC leader in Abuja to be careful. He warned him about people who might pretend to switch parties just to get money.
