Pep Guardiola, who is the manager of Manchester City, wants Mikel Arteta from Arsenal to tell what he knows about their secrets.
Arteta used to work with Guardiola as his assistant from 2016 to 2019. They are still good friends.
In the last two years, Arsenal has come in second place, right behind Manchester City.
Last Sunday, they played a tense match that ended in a 2-2 draw. This led to a lot of anger and arguments between the two teams.
After the match, Manchester City complained about the way Arsenal played. In response, Arteta said he knows all about the champions’ strategies.
When reporters asked Guardiola about Arteta’s comments on Friday, he said: “Next time, he should be more clear about what he means. We all remember what happened during those four years.”
Guardiola added: “Maybe it’s about the 115 charges for allegedly breaking the Premier League’s financial rules. Maybe he has some information on that, or maybe it’s something else. I don’t know.”
“Next time, because I still have a good relationship with him, he should explain exactly what he means,” Guardiola said.
