Police Recover 95 Vandalized Rail Tracks in Bauchi

Must Read

The Bauchi State Police Command has found 95 broken rail tracks and caught one person who might be involved in the crime.

The police spokesperson, SP Ahmed Wakil, shared this news on Thursday in Bauchi.

He said the police, using good information, caught a 29-year-old man (name not given) and got back the stolen items.

“This man worked with another person, who is still missing, to break the rail tracks,”

“This happened on September 24, around 11 pm, near Inkil Quarters in Bauchi city,” he added.

Wakil said the police are watching closely to find the missing person. Breaking rail tracks is harmful because it can cause accidents and hurt the economy.

He added that the rail line is important because it connects Inkil community to Gombe State, helping in trade and transport.

Wakil also said that Commissioner of Police Auwal Musa was happy about the teamwork between the police and the metal scrap dealers association, which helped catch the suspect.

“This success shows that the Command is serious about protecting public property and keeping people safe by working together with the community,” he said.

He asked the people living in the state to report any strange activities or people to the police.
