Canada has a really big immigration backlog with 1,078,300 applications waiting as of August 31st. This is 7.57% more than the month before.

- Citizenship: 38,600 applications are delayed. Meanwhile, 190,600 have been processed on time.
- Permanent Residence: 300,800 applications are delayed. On the other hand, 504,800 have been processed within the expected time.
- Temporary Residence: 738,900 applications are delayed. However, 647,100 have been processed within the service standards.

More recent reports show how the backlog and processing times have changed. Citizenship applications have slightly gone down by 1.02% since July, but permanent residence applications have gone up by 0.60%.
