The Coalition for Kaduna Political Groups (KPG) is worried about the problems inside the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). They say these issues might hurt PDP’s chances in the 2027 election.
The group, represented by leaders like Ibrahim Murtala Kachia, Solomon Jacob Maiyaki, Dr. Victor Bobai, and Mrs. Daniel Blessing, said the PDP is having a lot of problems. These problems include arguments between leaders and a lack of trust. This makes people question if the PDP can still be a strong opposition party.
In Kaduna, especially in Southern Kaduna, people are becoming unhappy with the PDP. Many important leaders and their supporters are leaving the party. This shows that there is an urgent need for the PDP to think about what is going wrong.
The group pointed out that the PDP is not working together well. They are not solving their internal arguments or giving enough benefits to their supporters. Because of this, people are liking the PDP less and less.
On the other hand, the All Progressives Congress (APC) seems to be doing better. They have a stronger internal structure and are responding well to the country’s challenges.
The KPG warns that important figures like Senator Danjuma Laah, Engr. Andrew Yakubu, Joseph Gumbari, and many of their followers might leave the PDP. This shows a bigger problem: the PDP, once very powerful, is now struggling to give real benefits to its people.
The focus on party leaders without real changes is making people question their loyalty to the PDP. The current situation cannot continue as it is, the group said.
The group also noted that if a party cannot work together, it cannot offer a strong choice to voters. This makes people doubt a party that can’t even solve its own problems.
