Football expert Mohammad Al-Deayea shared that Al Nassr players were happy when their old coach, Luis Castro, was fired.
He said the players felt that the coach liked superstar Cristiano Ronaldo more than the other stars on the team.
The Knights of Najd decided to let go of Ronaldo’s fellow countryman after the season started poorly.
The big football team was in seventh place with only five points from three games when Luis Castro was dismissed on September 17.
Former Al-Hilal goalkeeper Mohammad Al-Deayea said on the Dorina Gear program (via Ysscores): “Some players celebrated after Castro was fired because they didn’t get to play much with him, and they didn’t feel good with him as their coach.
“The coach always chose Cristiano Ronaldo over everyone else, even though there were other great players in the team making progress. But he only cared about Ronaldo, which isn’t right, and it made other players feel bad and play worse.
“Yes, Cristiano is an amazing goal scorer and the best player in the world, but the coach should have treated the other players better. Al Nassr did well in the first match with the new coach Pioli because he interacted better with everyone.”
