Bobrisky: Falana Addresses Allegations and Issues Ultimatum to VeryDarkMan

Must Read

Human rights lawyer Femi Falana replied to an accusation made against him in a widely shared audio clip by Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.

Falana said the claim that he asked for N10 million to get a presidential pardon for Idris Okuneye, who is better known as Bobrisky, was false and hurtful. He called it a nasty plan to damage his good name.

The experienced lawyer made it clear that he has never talked to Bobrisky about any pardon or any other matter at all.

In a letter sent to VeryDarkMan on Wednesday by Falana’s legal representative, Taiwo Olawanle, Falana asked for an immediate take-down of the false statement. He also demanded an apology from VeryDarkMan. This apology must be published on all platforms where the false claim was shared within 24 hours.

The letter said, “The whole statement was a nasty and reckless attempt to harm our client’s reputation and make people think badly of him. To be clear, our client has never talked to Bobrisky about any pardon or any other matter.

“We want you to take back the false and offensive statement right away and post an apology on all the platforms where you shared it without any right to do so.

“If we don’t get your formal retraction and apology within 24 hours, we will follow our client’s instructions to take legal action. This includes seeking monetary damages for your harmful publication and spreading of defamatory statements,” the letter stated.

According to DAILY POST, in the widely shared audio clip by VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky also accused some unknown staff of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of taking N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges against him.

But on Wednesday morning, Bobrisky posted on Instagram that he did not bribe any EFCC officer to drop charges. Instead, he said he served his jail time.
