NSCDC Apprehends Five Suspected Vandals in FCT

Must Read

The FCT Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence, NSCDC, has caught five people for damaging important national properties.

The command’s spokesman, Samuel Idoko, shared this news on Wednesday in Abuja. He said two of the five people were caught near Wuse Market Bridge. They were carrying broken iron poles.

Idoko also said the other three people were found late at night near Durumi 2 Pantaker Market. They were trying to move damaged things to sell them.

He mentioned that more investigation showed that buyers go to these places late at night. They use trucks to buy the stolen items and take them to places nobody knows yet.

According to him, the investigation is still going on. They want to make sure that these bad acts are punished.

“Early findings show that these people belong to a group that always has vandalized or stolen items,” Idoko said.

“Items taken from them include two solar batteries, one gas cylinder, one generator, one refrigerator gas cylinder, one iron hammer, and an air conditioner gas pipe, among other things,” he added.

“They will be punished according to the law because the NSCDC, FCT Command, and the entire corps do not tolerate vandalism,” he concluded.
