EPL: Gary Neville Reverses His Prediction Following Arsenal’s 2-2 Draw Against Man City

Must Read

Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, has changed his mind after earlier supporting Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season.

On Sunday evening, Arsenal tied 2-2 with Manchester City.

Erling Haaland scored first for City, but Ricciardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhaes helped Arsenal take the lead. However, even with a strong defense and 10 players, Arsenal couldn’t hold on, and John Stones scored a last-minute goal in the 98th minute.

Neville believes this goal might be very important in deciding who wins the title.

He told Sky Sports, “I thought Arsenal would win the title at the start of the season because usually when a team is being chased, they get caught.”

Neville continued, “Today’s match felt like a big moment in Arsenal’s journey to win the league. Two seasons ago, they fell apart near the end, and last season they got so close. You think they’re learning and getting better.”

He added, “In April and May, we might look back at the goal by John Stones and think that this moment decided the title. Even though there will be more dropped points and wins before the season ends, when you’re up against someone like Pep Guardiola, it feels like every moment matters.”
