The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has put more than 73.67% of the results from the Edo governorship election on its Result Viewing Portal.

According to the DAILY POST, 3,329 results out of 4,519 polling units in the state have been uploaded.

Anugbum Onuoha, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Edo, promised that the governorship election results would be sent electronically.

Onuoha mentioned in an interview on Arise Television Saturday, that poor network could be the only reason the results wouldn’t get uploaded to the viewing portal (IReV) on time.

“We have trained the operators for the BVAS machines, which check and approve the voters. This helps us know the total number of voters at each polling unit,” Onuoha explained.

“After the check, people will start voting. At the end of the day, we will count the votes, and the results will be uploaded to our IReV,” he reassured.
