Gubernatorial Election: Okpebholo is the Right Choice to Propel Edo Forward – VP Shettima

Must Read

Vice President Kashim Shettima believes that Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, is the best person to lead Edo State to better days.

According to DAILY POST, Vice President Shettima said this while speaking in Benin City during the big campaign rally for the upcoming governorship election.

He told the people of Edo State that the Federal Government is ready to support the new government in improving the state.

Shettima described the APC candidate as an experienced leader who has done great things before and promised that the Federal Government will work hard to make sure Edo State gets the help it needs.

He also talked about the need for everyone to work together and be peaceful to make progress. He pointed out that the signing of the peace agreement by the party without any delay shows that the APC truly cares about Edo State.

He also mentioned that with more money given to states, the new government will have enough resources to start new projects and help the state grow.

He said, “I understand what Edo people are going through, and I want to help solve those problems.”

Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the party, asked the people to come out in large numbers and vote for the APC candidate on September 21.

“The time of fear is over, and now is the time for our party’s ideas to grow. Edo is becoming a place of new beginnings in education and the economy,” he said.

He also praised the leaders of the party in the state, saying they have shown great dedication and hard work.

After receiving the party’s flag, Okpebholo promised to improve the state’s economy, saying the eight years of Governor Godwin Obaseki’s government were not successful.

Okpebholo said that the people of Edo have suffered enough and that voting out the PDP is the only way to bring change.

“We have had enough suffering, and by voting for the APC, we are choosing education, safety, new roads, better healthcare, and help for farmers,” he said.

“We will give loans to farmers and easy loans to market women,” he added.

He promised to hire 10,000 teachers, and said half of them will be hired in the first 100 days if he wins.

Okpebholo said the state of education in Edo is very bad, with not enough teachers in schools.

He also promised to fix the poor state of roads in the state, saying there will be a big focus on improving infrastructure.

Other important APC members at the rally, such as Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, and Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River, also asked people to vote for their candidate.

The rally saw a huge crowd of APC supporters and state governors from different parts of the country.
