Vandal Electrocuted While Tampering with Transformer in Yobe

<p>A man who was suspected of breaking things was found dead inside an electricity station in Damaturu, Yobe State.</p>

<p>The police in Damaturu called "Operation Haba Maza" took the man's body to the hospital. Later, his family came and took his body.</p>

<p>Blessing Tunoh, who works in the Communications Office of the Yola Electricity Company (YEDC), shared this news. She said the company's Regional Manager and other officers went to see the place where it happened.</p>

<p>Police officer Dungus Abdulkarim said the man tried to steal something from the station at 1:00 am. There was no power then, but suddenly the power came back on, and the man got electrocuted.</p>

<p>Early in the morning, people saw his body on their way to the mosque to pray.</p>

<p>They quickly told the police at the Maisandari ‘B’ Division. The police came and took the body away.</p>

<p>The YEDC's officer said, "We will help the police protect our stuff and catch people who break things and stop our services."</p>
