Wike Declares Allegiance to Tinubu Amid Rivers Crisis, Calls Him ‘Father’

Must Read

The Minister in charge of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, told everyone on Friday that he supports President Bola Tinubu.

Wike thinks Tinubu is capable and respects him like a father.

Wike said this during a TV show called Politics Today on Channels Television.

He also criticized Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State. Wike said Fubara used Tinubu’s support to disrespect many people.

Wike shared, “The governor (Fubara) used the President’s help to insult everyone. I work for Mr. President and I supported him without any special agreement. I trust his abilities and made my plans clear from the start.

“When Mr. President called me, there were things I wasn’t sure about, but he is the president and older than me. So, when he appointed me, I couldn’t refuse.

“The governor misused the President’s kindness. I am loyal to Mr. President only.

“The president asked us to do certain things, yet the governor filed over 40 court cases.”

There has been a clash between Wike and Fubara about political power and resources in Rivers State.

President Tinubu tried to make peace by having both of them agree to work together, but the disagreement continues.
