The Nasarawa State Police have caught 12 people they think are kidnappers. These bad guys were doing crimes all around Nasarawa State.

Shehu Umar-Nadada, the head police officer, told everyone this news on Thursday. He said the new steps the police are taking are working well. Because of these steps, there’s less crime now.

He said, “We arrested 12 people we think are kidnappers and some other bad guys this past week. We are still looking into this, and we want to catch more bad guys.”

Umar-Nadada said the police found some areas where the kidnappers like to go. These places are Lafia, Gandu near the Federal University of Lafia, the GRA/Angwan Maitasa area, and Shabu in Lafia North local government area.

He also talked about a sad event where a 19-year-old student named Anas Zubairu was killed. This happened after someone paid N17 million in ransom. This was in the Project Quarters area of Lafia local government area. Umar-Nadada said there are other dangerous places too, like Shinge and the 500 Housing Estate in Lafia local government area.

To make sure people are safe, the police have started driving around these areas more often. They want to make sure everyone can go about their day without worrying about crime.
