Two cars crashed near Verona, Ogere, in Ogun State on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Sadly, six people died, and three others got hurt.

Florence Okpe from the Ogun State Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) told us about the accident in a statement from Abeokuta, the state’s capital, on Friday.

She said the crash happened because the driver of a Toyota Sienna Space Bus was driving too fast. The bus hit the back of a moving truck.

The crash involved a gray Toyota Sienna with the license plate EPE692EL. The truck drove away, so we don’t know its details.

The hurt people were taken to Patmag Hospital in Ogere, and the people who died were taken to FOS IPARA Morgue.

The Ogun Sector Commander, Akinwumi Fasakin, said this crash could have been avoided if the driver had been more careful. He asked all drivers to pay full attention when they drive and to follow all traffic rules on the road.

Florence Okpe also shared feelings of sympathy with the families who lost loved ones and wished the injured people a speedy recovery.
