Singer Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, thinks he and some other musicians should have stopped singing by now.
Paul is 45 years old and believes that in the past, musicians didn’t stay in the music business for a long time.
On the Adesope live show, Rudeboy said it’s hard to be both a family man and an active musician at the same time.
“In the old days of music, people like us would have retired by now,” he said.
“There’s a time for everything in life. Things will always change. If you are a famous person and you think people will always see you as perfect, trust me, you’re wrong. Sometimes, things won’t go your way. It always happens.
“Every famous artist has had people talk bad about them and has faced problems. Even new artists will go through the same thing one day. It’s normal in the entertainment world. But what counts is who you are as a person and how you deal with problems.”
Rudeboy became famous in the 2000s with his twin brother Peter Okoye, known as Mr P. They were in a music group called P-Square.
The group first broke up in 2016 but got back together in 2021. In August 2024, Rudeboy said P-Square broke up again after Peter accused him and their older brother Jude, who was also their manager, of taking the group’s money.
