The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State has lost an important member. George Moghalu, who used to be the boss of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and a top member of the party, has resigned.
George Moghalu sent his resignation letter on August 26, 2024. He sent it to the chairman of his local APC ward in Nnewi, Anambra State.
In his letter, Moghalu wrote, “My family and I send our best wishes. I want to tell you that I am leaving the APC from today, August 26, 2024.”
He added, “This decision is personal.”
He further wrote, “I hope we all keep the good relationships we have made over the years.”
He wished the party members well and said, “Please accept my best regards, as always.”
George Moghalu is one of the people who helped start the APC. He helped organize the group when it was first created. He also ran for governor of Anambra State with the APC in 2017 and 2021.
He said he will announce his next political steps soon.
