The police in Jigawa State have caught three men who tried to steal cows.
Police spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, told DAILY POST on Tuesday about the arrest.
He said, “On August 13, 2024, around 8:05 PM, we got a call about three men trying to steal cows in a green Golf 3 Waggon car with the number plate BWR 198 AM. They took two cows from Gubusun village in Kirika Samma LGA.”
“When we got the report, police officers from Kirika Samma Division, led by their boss, quickly set up a roadblock on the Kirika Samma-Kano road.”
“The officers stopped the car and found the stolen cows and three men inside: Yura Alhaji Gwanto, 50 years old from Gubusun, Mohammed Saje, 35 years old from Zagari Fulani settlement, and the driver Haladu Yusuf Chakas, 30 years old from Marma village in Kirika Samma LGA.”
“The police took the car, the cows, and the three men to the station for investigation.”
He said the men admitted they stole the cows from the village.
They were taken to court to face charges.
