Azman Air has shared that it will start flying again soon. They denied the news saying they’ll stop flying forever.
This news came from Hadi Abdulmunafi, who is a big manager at Azman Air Services Limited, on August 24, 2024.
They wanted to clear things up since many media reports were saying the airline might stop flying forever.
What’s Happening with Azman Air?
Newslodge said Azman Air stopped flying in March 2023. They said they were fixing their four planes in other countries.
By August 3, 2023, they told their staff to take a break without getting paid.
Azman Air started flying again in 2024, but some media said in August that they stopped flying.
Azman Air started in 2014 with two big Boeing 737 planes. They grew to have seven but now have just four planes.
What Azman Air is Saying Now
According to Abdulmunafi, it’s wrong for the media to say the airline has stopped flying forever.
“We are finishing the maintenance of two of our planes, and we will fly again very soon.
“We stopped flying for a short time to make sure our planes are extra safe and reliable. We know this caused problems and we thank our customers for understanding,” he said.
He said the airline team is working very hard to finish the maintenance quickly.
“Azman Air aims to give you safe, reliable flights. We can’t wait to have our passengers back soon.
“We will keep you updated through our official channels. Thank you for your patience and loyalty as we work to start flying again as soon as possible,” the statement partly reads.

Newslodge reported that two of the airline’s planes were stuck in Turkey, and the other two were not flying in Nigeria in 2023.
They couldn’t get foreign money to fix the planes that needed maintenance earlier in the year.
Alhaji Abdulmunaf Yunusa, the Chairman of Azman Air, had already told the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) they’d stop flying.
Newslodge also said the NCAA talked many times with Azman in August 2023.
Many other Nigerian airlines were facing the same problems of not having enough money and planes stuck abroad at that time.
