Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has now passed fellow Nigerian artist Burna Boy in having the most songs on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
Asake put nine new songs from his latest album ‘Lungu Boy’ on this week’s Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. This makes his total number of songs on the chart 50.
Right now, his song ‘Active,’ which features American rapper Travis Scott, is at the very top of the chart.
The Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart started in April 2022.
Since it started, Nigerian artists have been leading the chart.
