On The Obi One Podcast, Mikel, who is from Nigeria, talked about those tough times. He said, “I played with John Terry. When the game is hard and if we’re losing, in the dressing room, before the manager says anything, Terry would come to you.”

“He would come and say, ‘Wake up, what’s wrong with you?’

“Sometimes, he would even grab you by the neck to get your attention.”
