Must Read

Abdulrahman Muhammad Sulaiman, who is also known as Mai-Kadama, has left his job as a Senior Special Adviser to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State. He also left the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after meeting with Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President.

Sulaiman, who was the Senior Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship to the Governor, announced his decision on Thursday after meeting Jibrin in Abuja.

Before this, Mai-Kadama held important roles. He led the Kwankwasiyya movement in Plateau State and was also the head of the G-6 group in Kano State.

Senator Barau Jibrin shared on Facebook that Mai-Kadama joined APC to help improve governance and speed up development.

Jibrin’s post read: “Another good addition for the All Progressives Congress (APC). Abdulrahman Mai Kadama Kwankwasiyya, a top member of NNPP and Kwankwasiyya movement, has joined our party.

“Today, Mai Kadama Kwankwasiyya visited me in Abuja and left his old party to join APC, the largest political party in Africa.

“With his party change, he is now called Mai Kadama Maliya. He also resigned as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entrepreneurship II.

“Mai Kadama also stepped down as the leader of the Kwankwasiyya in Plateau State, leader of the G-6 in Kano State, and the national chairman of Kwankwasiyya Akasa A Tsare. He joined us to promote good governance and help develop our state and country.

“The new Mai Kadama Maliya asked his young political friends to join our movement to bring more benefits of democracy to our people.

“As I said before, our party, APC, is the only party truly committed to improving the lives of our people. Let’s work together; there’s room for everyone.”
