Nigerian actor Williams Uchemba has something to say about women asking for things they can’t afford from men.
Williams shared his thoughts on his Facebook page. He says this is one reason some women are still single.
Williams thinks that some women feel too entitled. This means they believe they deserve things without earning them.
Instead of asking for expensive things, he says women should ask in a nicer way.
“Ladies, listen. There is a rule: if you can’t buy it yourself, don’t ask for it at a restaurant,” Williams said.
He says many women today think it’s normal to make big requests from men. But Williams thinks no man will want to marry a woman who does this.
He thinks this idea has become too common among women today. He says if a man likes you, he will spend money on you, but there’s no need to ask for very expensive things like a G Wagon car or the newest iPhone.
Williams believes asking for things you can’t afford shows greed. He even calls it a “Jezebelian spirit,” which means something bad that drives people to act greedy.
He explains that there’s a difference between asking and appealing. When a wife wants something, she appeals, or asks gently. She doesn’t demand.
Williams says this is why some women see others getting married while they are still single. He believes that character, how you act and treat others, is more important than looks.
“Don’t think your looks will keep a man,” Williams explains. “Once you have a baby, looks change. What matters is your character.”
