2027: Abure Not Joining APC – Labour Party Disputes NLC Claims

Must Read

The Labour Party, or LP, wants to clear up some confusion. There’s been talk from the Nigeria Labour Congress Political Commission, called NLC-PC, saying that the head of the LP, named Julius Abure, is helping out the main ruling party called the All Progressives Congress, or APC. But the LP’s spokesperson, Obiora Ifoh, spoke up in Abuja on Friday to clear things up.

He explained that after a recent court said Julius Abure is the right leader of the Labour Party, some people started telling stories. They said the Labour Party is helping the APC, which is why the LP keeps winning in court. However, Ifoh says these stories are not true, and they are meant to trick people and make the party look bad.

Ifoh said, “I want to make sure everyone understands that the LP has always been and still is very critical of APC, even more than NLC. Let’s remember that the NLC hasn’t helped workers in Nigeria as it should have.”

He also said, “Today, workers in Nigeria face many problems. The money they earn doesn’t go far, and there are unfair practices against them. Nobody is speaking up for these workers, except for the leaders at the Labour Party right now.”

Ifoh added, “If we’re talking about a strong voice against the government, it’s the team led by Julius Abure in the Labour Party.”

He then shared, “For the first time, with Barrister Julius Abure leading, the party has achieved amazing things,” showing how much they’ve accomplished.
