The Welfare Board of the Pilgrims of the State of Kano has established on May 13, 2025, as the date to begin the air bridge of the State's pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2025.
This was confirmed in a statement issued by the Board spokesman Sulaiman Dederi. The general director of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi'u Danbappa, announced that air transport operations would begin on May 13.
The statement noted that the DG made the announcement on Saturday during a visit to the Hajj induction course held in the local government centers Unigo and Bichi, as part of the preparations for the Hajj 2025 year.
Alhaji Danbappa also revealed that, according to the calendar published by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (Nahcon), the state of Kano would open the first flight to Saudi Arabia with Max Air on May 13, 2025.

He added that the Board had completed all the necessary arrangements in advance to ensure that everything was in its place for the beginning without problems of Hajj operations.
Previously, the president of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, urged pilgrims to regularly attend the Hajj induction courses for their own benefit.
Alhaji Lawan also advised pilgrims to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations established by the Nigerian authorities and Saudi Arabia during the pilgrimage.
