Femi Adebayo, a well-loved actor, is celebrating because his movie ‘Jagun Jagun’ got seven important nods at the upcoming 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards, also known as AMAA.
There was a special event in Lagos on Wednesday, where lots of people came together, like the judges and the people who help pick which movies are the best. They all met to talk about the awards.
‘Jagun Jagun’ was noticed for many important parts of the awards, which is its 20th year.
Here are the categories where it got noticed: Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Production Design, Costume Design, Makeup, Visual Effects, and the very special Ousmane Sembene Award for Best Movie in an African Language. It also got a nod for the Best Nigerian Film.
Femi was so happy that he told his friends and fans the exciting news on Instagram, saying, “Hey everyone, we did it again! I’m super happy to say that ‘Jagun Jagun’ grabbed seven nominations at the 2024 AMAA Awards. Yesterday was the big announcement!”
Many important people were at the event, like Shaibu Husseini from the National Film and Video Censors Board, and other famous folks like George and Chinyere Anyiam-Osigwe, Kennedy Anyiam-Osigwe, Raymond Anyiam-Osigwe, Steve Ayorinde, Francis Onwochei, Sunny McDon, Nobert Young, Segun Arinze, Alex O, Cordelia Okpei, Dr. Queen Blessing Ebigieson, and Charles Novia.
