Once upon a time, in a place called Lokoja in Kogi State, something very sad happened. A young man named Abba Yusuf, who was 19 years old, did something very bad. He hurt his own father, Alhaji Dahiru Yusuf Maileather, who was 60 years old, and his father passed away.
A person who saw what happened told a newspaper about it. This sad thing happened over a weekend at about half-past eight in the morning. Abba hurt his father with something sharp.
Alhaji Nuhu Muhammed Bala, the brother of the man who passed away, shared what happened. He said that he was at his home when his sister called him on the phone to tell him about what had happened to their brother.
He said, “When my sister called me, she told me our brother was hurt by his son. I quickly ran to my brother’s house, but when I got there, I was told they already took him to the hospital.”
After this sad event, Abba was given to the police, which means the people who make sure everyone follows the rules. The person said that Abba’s mom and his two younger brothers or sisters left the house and nobody knows where they went.
Some people tried to call the chief police officer, SP William Ovye Aya, to ask him about what happened, but he did not pick up the phone or reply to any messages.
