11th AMVCA: Organizers announce call for registration

Africa Magic, in association with MultiChoice, has announced the call for entries for the 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA). Registration opens on Monday, December 23 and closes on Friday, January 31, 2025.

The AMVCAs celebrate exceptional talent, creativity and innovation within the African film, television and entertainment industry, showcasing the continent's best storytellers, artists and production professionals.

Accordingly, filmmakers, producers, production companies and creators are encouraged to submit made-for-television movies, films or television series that were broadcast or screened publicly, between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024, for have the opportunity to be recognized at Africa's most prestigious awards event.

Speaking about the upcoming edition, Busola Tejumola, Executive Director of West African Content and Channels at MultiChoice, said: “The AMVCAs have become a beacon of excellence, celebrating the vitality and diversity of African storytelling. “We are excited to once again open the doors to talented creatives from across the continent to showcase their remarkable work to the world.”

The 11th AMVCA promises to be a spectacular celebration of African entertainment, giving flowers to our talented creatives and creating unforgettable memories. The event will be broadcast live on Africa Magic channels across the continent, bringing the glitz and glamor of the awards to millions of viewers.
