President Bola Tinubu’s advisor on Communications and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has responded to a warning from Peter Obi. Peter Obi, a past presidential candidate from the Labour Party, said he might sue Onanuga.
Recently, Onanuga said that Peter Obi and his friends were behind the planned protests against Tinubu’s government. These protests were about the hard living conditions in the country.
Peter Obi, through his lawyer Alex Ejesieme, sent a letter to Onanuga. In this letter, Obi asked Onanuga to take back what he said and say sorry to him in 72 hours.
Peter Obi also wanted Onanuga to pay him N5 billion because of these statements.
On his X account (what was once called Twitter), Onanuga replied on Tuesday. He said, “I am still waiting for the letter from Peter Obi’s lawyer about the N5 billion lawsuit and the apology for saying Peter Obi is behind the protests.
“I want to tell Obi and his lawyer that I am not scared of going to court. We will see each other there.”
